Are you constantly planning group activities and looking for something different? While I have written previously about some of the more common corporate group activities NYC loves, I understand people that do this day in and day out are looking for something different. As someone who planned corporate group activities for many years, I understand the struggle in planning the perfect event. I always wished there was a list of different team building activities in NYC, but it was really hard to find. When happy hours and team dinners got stale, I dug deep. Here are some of my favorite New York City team building events.
Take a speedboat ride on THE BEAST
This is one of the best things our team did. We barely made the boat, and when we got there, we all connected 1v1 with the person sitting next to us. The hosts were hilarious and even though a couple of us got drenched, we all had a blast that we talked about at the bar after. Take a candle making class
This was a really chill activity that our group loved, think aromatherapy for teams. When times got busy, I’d book this for people to relax. They would parooze the aisles of scents, sniff a bunch, and then calmly pour wax into the jar. When they were done, they could sip on a drink. Going on a scavenger hunt is one of the best team building ideas in NYC
I wanted team building ideas in NYC that made people move! This was a great way to get people to move around and release some endorphins. Folks were outside, working together, and solving puzzles. This was really fun because often times, people connected and agreed on a last minute activity they really wanted to do. I can’t tell you how many times we just ended up at a bar in a more lively conversation then we would have had at a planned happy hour. I really liked this as cooking is a huge stress reliever for me, which is why I started offering this services as one of our top New York team building activities.
